I am so thankful that I hired Jackie as my doula. I’m a first time mom and I decided to have a home birth. After research, I knew that I would probably need a doula. I got a few names and texted them. Jackie was the quickest to respond and I felt a peace from the Lord as we communicated. I knew she was right for me. My entire pregnancy , Jackie was always quick to text me back. I was never left alone.

Flash forward to birth, and she literally is one of the reasons that I was able to get through a 42 hour labor. It was the hardest time of my life , and Jackie was there holding my hand through contractions, giving me ideas on how to cope, and she constantly made sure I was hydrated and taken care of. She stayed with me for hours and hours. She came over the first time and we realized I wasn’t at a place I needed her yet. She left and came back in a few hours. She was absolutely incredible and she is a huge reason my home birth was successful. Do not hesitate to hire her. She brings such a comforting presence and joy, and she has so many great ideas and tricks. She knows what she is doing and she knows how to support women in such a life changing and sacred time. Thank you Jackie from the bottom of my heart! I will be hiring her again!

Testimonials

Jackie's warmth and gentleness are matched only by her wisdom and enthusiasm. Classes with her helped give me the confidence, knowledge and resources to change our hospital plans and go for the home birth my husband and I were secretly dreaming of! Our meetings assured me that not only can I "make it through" labor and delivery, but that the birth of my child can be a beautiful and empowering experience that bonds my little family together in love. More than all the wonderful practical advice we received from Jackie (and she is truly an expert), this was a priceless gift that I believe has changed me and my family forever. We are so grateful for Jackie, hope to work with her again in the future, and will be recommending her for years to come.

Jackie is one of the biggest blessings I have found in this life. I heard about her from mutual friends and texted her, heard back and had an appointment to meet and go over all of my birth history, birth trauma and birth desires, etc. I wanted an unmedicated VBAC and I ended up having it in the end. She listened and cared deeply about everything I shared and that was apparent through the remainder of my pregnancy, birth and postpartum. She is steady. She does not make anything an emergency unless it truly is. When I was in a place of needing to make decisions during pregnancy and birth prep, she was always immediately there to answer my questions, back me up, encourage me, send me information and give me alternatives. She is a resource hub of information and loves what she does very sincerely which is so special.  I took her birth classes as well and learned so much information that fueled me to keep going towards my hopes for my second birth. One of the things I love most about her classes is she shares her own birth stories and experiences as she goes along and that helps put so much into perspective too. During the two weeks leading up to labor I leaned on her daily for encouragement, ideas for getting baby ready, keeping myself in my mindset of what I wanted. She encouraged me to stay home when I was in early labor and reminded me I could keep waiting and that saved me what would have been two days of stalled early labor in the hospital. She reminded me of everything that my body was doing was normal and that I wasn’t broken from my first birth and I could trust my body again. She held my hand during my contractions, spoke out loud to me how well I was doing and updated me on how close baby was to being here. During postpartum she brought me food and came over to hold my baby, answered questions I had the first several weeks postpartum. She’s just authentic. She really cares. I’m forever grateful for her help and encouragement. She will help me birth the rest of my babies and I do and will continue to recommend her to everyone I know!
